So here is what is going on over the next little while….
I will be directing On The Rocks at Theatre Passe Muraille. This is Louise Pitre’s new one woman show. I will be working closely with Louise on her deeply personal cabaret as dramaturge and director. The show will be running at TPM in the Fall. Check here for tickets: http://www.passemuraille.on.ca/box-office/
I just found out I’ll be directing again for the HGJT In The Beginning Festival. The Trial Of William Shakespeare, a new play by Barry Lipson. It will have a reading the evening of June 17th, come and check it out http://www.hgjewishtheatre.com/
I’m happy to share that I am helping to develop the new musical ‘Til You Love Someone written by Andrew Sabiston and Jed MacKay with music by Amy Sky and Marc Jordan. So far, it has been really inspiring to work with this amazing group of artists and I am looking forward to more! The goal for the next stage is a workshop.
I’ve had some preliminary meetings with Diana LeBlanc about Farther West at Soulpepper and I am super excited about that too. It will be playing in the Fall….for more info about the show go to: www.soulpepper.ca
I also have to mention that I just spent a weekend taking Jim Bett’s course at Playwrights Guild on writing for Musical Theatre. It was amazing and inspiring. I highly recommend this to any aspiring lyricists, composers and book writers out there. Jim is the best!
So that is my life right now in a nutshell!
